AimÂ
This course will support practitioners in adult and children’s services to respond to children affected by parental substance use.Â
Learning Outcomes Â
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:Â
- Identify the impact of parental substance use on children.Â
- Describe the child’s change cycle in parental use and recovery.Â
- Practise the assessment of risk for children affected by parental substance use.Â
- Identify ways to actively engage and hear young people’s stories.Â
 It is recommend that you complete SDFs ‘Drug Awareness – An Introductory Course’ e-learning module prior to attending this training.
