To support practitioners to safeguard children who are being criminally exploited, the Children and Young People’s Centre for Justice (CYCJ) and Action for Children, including young people and their families, have developed a framework for practice in this area. This framework aims to offer direction and guidance to practitioners who might work with children who are experiencing exploitation.
To introduce the framework, CYCJ are a offering sessions to practitioners in North Lanarkshire.
One session is targeted at practitioners working directly with young people at risk of child criminal exploitation and will focus in more detail on using the framework and indicator tool through case studies. The session will be of particular relevance to social workers, support workers, residential workers, school staff and youth workers.
