UWS Contemporary Drug & Alcohol Studies

The University of the West of Scotland has been delivering innovative education on drug and alcohol use and policy for over 40 years. The Postgraduate Programme in Contemporary Drug & Alcohol Studies examines the social, cultural, and political influences on drug/alcohol use and policies. UWS explore the local, national and global evidence-base for responses that reduce substance use harms and support recovery. As part of their studies, students undertake a work-based placement where they can put their learning into practice. This is a fantastic course for existing practitioners looking to develop their practice and progress their careers, and for people wanting to enter this area of work and research.

UWS offer a range of study options – full-time or part-time, online or on campus (Paisley) – and a supportive student-centred learning environment.

UWS encourage applications from people who have a degree and/or significant and relevant professional experience. UWS welcome Scottish, UK and international students and consider all applicants on an individual basis.

Online Open Evening on Wednesday May 22nd 7-8pm – Contemporary Drug and Alcohol Studies (CDAS) – Online Information Evening Tickets, Wed, May 22, 2024 at 7:00 PM | Eventbrite
