FASD: The Teenage Years session for Parents and Caregivers

FASD Hub UK are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new training course, “The Teenage Years“, specifically designed for parents and caregivers. This course has been written to help parents and carers navigate the complex and often challenging teenage years for young people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and it will be delivered in two sessions on Tuesday 10th & 17th September 10am-noon.

The teenage years can be a difficult time for any family, but when FASD is part of the equation, unique challenges can arise. Our new course is here to provide you with the knowledge, strategies, and support you need to help your teenager thrive. From understanding the developmental and behavioural changes to managing social and academic pressures, this course covers it all.

What You Can Expect:

  • Practical Strategies: Gain actionable tips and techniques to support your teenager.
  • Supportive Community: Connect with other parents and caregivers facing similar challenges.
  • Comprehensive Resources: Access a wealth of information to help you and your family navigate this critical stage.

There will also be an opportunity to ask our FASD Advisors any questions you may have.

All attendees will receive a digital handbook after the session.

This is a fully-funded event for Parents and Carers living in Scotland.

Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire has signed up to Care Opinion, a website which allows patients to share their stories online.

Care Opinion is an independent, not-for-profit, website that gives patients and carers a way of voicing what they think of the services they receive.

We will listen to positive and negative comments and respond to those in a way that is honest, supportive and constructive.

We will use this feedback to make our services in North Lanarkshire the best they can be.
