FASD: Next Steps for Caregivers 2 Part Course

This course takes place over 2 days (please see dates below) and attendance at both sessions is required to complete the course. We strongly recommend that attendees have previously attended “What is FASD?” or have a strong knowledge of FASD already.

Building on your existing knowledge of FASD, this course delves deeper into how we can support people with FASD or a prenatal alcohol exposure history.

Written and delivered by the FASD hub Team, Topics include:

  • How alcohol affects the developing brain
  • Common challenges, including trauma, masking and cognitive fatigue
  • Reframing our thinking through an FASD lens
  • Strategies for success

Attendees will be invited to join follow up reflective groups to continue their learning and gain peer support should they wish. All attendees will receive a digital handbook after the session.

Please book the first date and you will be automatically added to the second – second date is 5th March 2025 10am-12pm

Care Opinion Logo

Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire has signed up to Care Opinion, a website which allows patients to share their stories online.

Care Opinion is an independent, not-for-profit, website that gives patients and carers a way of voicing what they think of the services they receive.

We will listen to positive and negative comments and respond to those in a way that is honest, supportive and constructive.

We will use this feedback to make our services in North Lanarkshire the best they can be.
