Adult Protection – Awareness of Risk and Responsibility Training – Level 1

IMPORTANT information about the training:

Level 1 – is 3 hours long and offers a basic awareness of Adult Support and Protection.  Training covers background, legislation, what an adult at risk of harm is, responsibilities and how to report. The training is aimed at people who may come across adults at risk of harm, they should be able to identify who may be at risk of harm and how to report it.

Level 2 – is 4 hours long and as well as covering some of the content from Level 1, this session offers more in-depth discussions around the criteria of an adult at risk of harm, responsibilities and more on the Adult Support and Protection process. This is aimed at people who may come across adults at risk of harm, making referrals and potentially supporting someone who is under Adult Support and Protection, attending case conferences and potentially being part of a protection plan.

Level 1 training is not a pre-requisite and you dont need to have attended Level 1 to access Level 2 training, as some of the same content is covered.  Please note that training is aimed at staff and agencies.  If you are interested in attending one of the scheduled training sessions, please contact mcghieau@northlan.gov.uk or KennedyBeth@northlan.gov.uk who will send you a Placing Request Form to be completed.

Due to demand, places on courses can only be secured by this office.  Once you have been allocated a place, we will promptly notify you by email.
