LANDED is working in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire to develop an action plan to take forward the key recommendations from the Cannabis Consultation that was carried out at the end of 2021.
Over 600 young people from Lanarkshire aged between 16-25 took part in the consultation, and shared their views, opinions, and experiences in relation to cannabis use and consumption. The results of which showed that 67% of respondents said that they would contact a medical service/GP/ addiction service if they felt they had an issue with Cannabis. It is now our aim to learn more about what information is provided by statutory drug services and recovery network organisations to those who attend services looking for support with cannabis use and how frequently this information is given. This will allow us to assess if more resources are required in this field and, most importantly, what staff like you need to feel confident in accessing and providing this information.
