National Collaborative – Draft Charter Public Consultation

Feb 5, 2024 | News

Following the launch of the National Collaborative draft Charter in December, we would like to highlight that the public consultation is open for your views and the views of the communities you support (the draft charter can also be found on this link). Individual or group responses can be entered via the online survey

We very much welcome anyone interested in holding a Community Conversation on the draft Charter to get in touch and we can provide support to help you do this, including small grants

The public consultation will be open until the 3rd June 2024 and we appreciate your help in reaching a wide audience.

We would also be grateful if you could highlight the public consultation on your social media and have provided some suggested text for a Tweet:

The National Collaborative has launched a draft Charter of Rights which has been informed by people affected by substance use & service providers.

Share your views & expertise on how to develop it further by responding to the short consultation: Public Consultation

The UN Human Rights Council held a session today on human rights challenges in addressing the world drug problem. It was great to see Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, referencing the National Collaborative and the draft Charter of Rights: https://www.ohchr.org/en/statements-and-speeches/2024/02/policies-drugs-must-advance-rights-including-health-turk-says

Care Opinion is an independent, not-for-profit, website that gives patients and carers a way of voicing what they think of the services they receive.

We will listen to positive and negative comments and respond to those in a way that is honest, supportive and constructive.

We will use this feedback to make our services in North Lanarkshire the best they can be.
