The 13th Scottish Motivational Interviewing Winter School

Target Audience:
This training is designed for practitioners across all sectors working with people who are using alcohol and other drugs across a range of substance misuse, mental health and other health services.

This one-day non-residential school will provide participants with the opportunity to enhance and develop their skills in Motivational Interviewing. Participants will be provided the opportunity to explore the application of MI in a range of Scottish services across the sectors and to practice MI in groups. Strategies to support the implementation of MI consistent coaching will be explored as a part of planning for the future of MI Coaching in Scotland.

Requirements:
Participants need to have had a basic introduction to Motivational Interviewing and want to enhance their skills in the practise of this intervention. Completion of the MI e-learning module on TURAS is a pre-requisite for this event Enhancing motivation (MAT 6, 9 and 10) | Turas | Learn (nhs.scot)
