Advocacy and Rights: Half- day awareness workshop
This workshop will introduce key concepts related to advocacy and representation across services and community levels of advocacy. Participants will understand the relationship between human rights and
advocacy, on individual and organisational levels. We will look at definitions, purpose and good practice, as well as the role of a human rights-based approach. Participants will gain a foundational awareness of advocacy and
how it works in our day to day lives.
Suitable for: Staff across the health and social care workforce including frontline staff, community groups, statutory services, third-sector organisations, those with lived/living experience, family members, and
decision makers.
