Parental Substance use and its impact on children and young people is aimed at staff from a range of agencies who come across parental drug and alcohol use in the course of their work including support to families where there is inter-generation substance use problems.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
- To increase knowledge and awareness of the possible impact of substance use on a child and young person.
- To understand the role all services play in supporting children young people and their families impacted by substance use.
- To explore individual, family and community protective factors in relation to supporting children /young people.
- Understand the impact of stigma.
- To explore the impact of recovery from  parental substance use on children / young people.
