We are delighted to share early findings from the NIHR funded, Stepping Stones Study, Â Evaluating models of care: best practice and care pathways for women who are dependent on drugs and their infants from preconception to 18 months postnatal, in two online webinars on 13th and 14th March 12-2 p.m.
Presentations by the study team will include findings from
Scoping Review of UK guidance and policy documents for the care of women who use/are in treatment for drug use in the perinatal period
- An international mixed methods systematic review (1990-2024) of interventions for women who use/are in treatment for drug use in the perinatal period
- A qualitative longitudinal study of 36 women who have used or are in treatment for drug use in four sites in Scotland and England, tracking their care pathways and experiences from pregnancy to up to 18 months postnatally
- We will discuss the implications of our findings for optimum care models
