16 Days of Activism Event

Violence Against Women Partnerships in North and South Lanarkshire invite professionals to a conference, as part of 16 days of activism tackling Violence Against Women

Can you imagine a Lanarkshire without sexual violence ? This is the question posed by the Violence Against Women Partnerships in North and South Lanarkshire. (Spaces are limited and a wait list will be in operation via Eventbrite)

Coming together to mark 20 Years of Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre, this conference will challenge perceptions and seek action from us all. The conference will kick off on Fri, Nov 29, 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Banqueting Suite, South Lanarkshire Council HQ. Get ready for inspiring speakers, engaging workshops, and meaningful discussions.

Workshops and presentations will address themes of preventing sexual violence, taking a public health approach, the current issues faced by survivors in Lanarkshire and how we can all be part of the solution.

Practical Arrangements: Tea & coffee at 9.30am with workshop sign up at morning registration, soup & sandwich lunch is provided, event close at 3.15pm. Conference agenda will be emailed to all participants in advance of the event.

Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire has signed up to Care Opinion, a website which allows patients to share their stories online.

Care Opinion is an independent, not-for-profit, website that gives patients and carers a way of voicing what they think of the services they receive.

We will listen to positive and negative comments and respond to those in a way that is honest, supportive and constructive.

We will use this feedback to make our services in North Lanarkshire the best they can be.
