Following the publication of the recent National records for Scotland Drug Related Deaths report, our research and information officer has developed a detailed analysis for North Lanarkshire. This report provides details of the substances commonly implicated in North Lanarkshire’s Drug Related Deaths, the age group and details of areas within North Lanarkshire where deaths occurred.
Headlines:
- There were a total of 65 Drug Related Deaths in North Lanarkshire in 2022, 15 less deaths than the previous year and this sees a reduction in deaths for the third year running.
- Drug Related Deaths were more prevalent in males than females
- Opiates/Opiods were most common group of drugs implicated in Drug Related Deaths
